Job Description

An HR, placement officer with soft skills training skills job description combines traditional HR functions like recruitment and onboarding with placement officer duties such as career counseling and employer liaison, with a strong emphasis on developing and delivering soft skills training for employees or students. Key responsibilities include assessing training needs, designing and conducting workshops on skills like communication and interview techniques, coordinating placement activities, maintaining records, and building relationships with companies and candidates.  Responsibilities Training & Development: Identify training needs for both employees and job seekers. Design, develop, and deliver soft skills training programs (e.g., communication, interview skills, professional etiquette, career development). Organize and facilitate workshops, including career fairs and recruitment events. Placement & Recruitment: Liaise with industry and employers to build strong relationships and identify job opportunities. Coordinate campus placement drives, job fairs, and recruitment events. Assist candidates or employees with resume writing, cover letters, and interview preparation. Screen candidates and support the placement process, from application to onboarding. HR Support: Assist with broader HR functions such as onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and ensuring legal compliance. Maintain accurate records of placement outcomes, employee data, and training progress. Provide career counseling and support to employees or students.  Qualifications and skills Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Counseling, Business Administration, or a related field is often preferred. Experience: Previous experience in HR, recruitment, career services, or job placement is essential. Experience in delivering training is also key. Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are critical for success in this role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with job search databases or HR software is beneficial. Other: Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and training needs. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
