Job Description

Staff management: Assign duties to housekeeping staff and supervise their work. Conduct training on cleaning procedures and safety guidelines. Handle staff scheduling and manage absences. Motivate staff and resolve workplace issues. Screen applicants and recommend hiring, promotions, or dismissals. Quality control: Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Perform quality control checks to ensure proper cleaning techniques are used. Ensure all services, such as cleaning windows and rugs, meet standards. Inventory and supplies: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Ensure supplies are ordered and distributed to staff. Ensure equipment is well-maintained and safe to use. Safety and compliance: Ensure all staff comply with safety and sanitation policies. Make sure cleaning equipment is used and maintained correctly. Administrative and guest services: Investigate and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services. Address maintenance issues and communicate them to the appropriate departments. Fill out daily reports and keep records of housekeeping activities. Make recommendations for improving efficiency and service within the department.
