As an Academic Leader, your role involves planning and implementing the academic calendar, timetables, and teaching plans for the Higher Secondary section. You will ensure effective curriculum delivery in line with CBSE standards and institutional goals. Your responsibilities include supervising lesson planning, classroom practices, and teaching methodologies of all subject teachers. Additionally, you will review students" academic progress and implement remedial and enrichment programs. You will also oversee the preparation and conduct of internal assessments, practicals, and board examinations. In terms of Staff Supervision & Development, you will supervise and mentor subject teachers in the Higher Secondary section. Conducting regular academic review meetings and classroom observations will be part of your duties. Identifying training needs and recommending professional development programs for staff, as well as participating in recruitment, orientation, and performance appraisal of section teachers, are crucial aspects of this role. For Student Management, you will be responsible for ensuring discipline, attendance, and behavioral standards among students. Guiding students in subject selection, career pathways, and academic counseling will be essential. Moreover, promoting student participation in academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, as well as addressing student issues and grievances in coordination with counselors and parents, are key components of this position. Regarding Examination & Assessment, you will coordinate the preparation and smooth conduct of internal and board examinations. Verifying question papers, evaluation processes, and marks compilation will be part of your responsibilities. Analyzing examination results and implementing academic improvement strategies, along with ensuring the timely submission of reports and board-related documentation, are integral to this role. In terms of Administration & Coordination, you will coordinate with the Principal, Vice Principal, and administrative departments for academic operations. Maintaining accurate academic and administrative records of students and teachers, ensuring compliance with CBSE regulations, circulars, and reporting requirements, and preparing reports, data, and presentations for management review are significant tasks. Your involvement in Parent & Community Engagement will include conducting parent-teacher meetings and sharing student performance updates. You will foster positive communication between teachers, parents, and the school management, as well as represent the Higher Secondary section in school events and external forums. As part of Quality Assurance & Institutional Development, you will monitor the quality of teaching and learning outcomes through regular audits. Leading initiatives to enhance academic excellence and innovation in pedagogy, contributing to school improvement plans and accreditation processes are key responsibilities in this capacity. Ensuring Safeguarding & Wellbeing, you will create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students and staff.
