The Emerging Talent Centre S&C Coach role based in Sparrows Lane Training Ground, South East London is a Zero Hours - Casual position with a closing date of 30th August 2025. As an Emerging Talent Centre S&C Coach, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that ETC players undergo a physical performance programme that aligns with the club blueprint, fostering the development of high-quality athletes who are well-rounded, independent, and adaptable. It is crucial to create a safe, secure, and supportive environment for the players while also advocating for and safeguarding the women's and girls" game. Your key responsibilities will include contributing to the ETC blueprint by designing and delivering individualized athletic development programmes and group training sessions. You will also oversee injury rehabilitation training as directed by the physiotherapist/sports therapist, conduct fitness testing, and collaborate with the medical team to develop activation and prehab programmes. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining facilities and equipment, keeping comprehensive records, and communicating with parents on S&C-related matters. Furthermore, you will work closely with other staff members to meet the players" needs, educate coaches on S&C provision, and ensure the overall well-being of players and staff is prioritized. Continuous self-development is essential in this role, involving seeking feedback, staying updated on industry research, maintaining professional qualifications, and participating in professional development activities. The ideal candidate for this position must hold a BSc in Sports Science or a related discipline, along with UKSCA or ASCC accreditation. Essential qualifications also include FA DBS, FA Safeguarding Children, and FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football. Desirable qualifications may include MSc S&C, BASES Accredited Sports Scientist, and relevant coaching certifications. Experience in applied S&C within a team setting, particularly in female football, is advantageous. Candidates should also possess knowledge of load monitoring, injury minimization strategies, and safeguarding procedures.
