HOD Quality Assurance

o act as the custodian of product quality, ensuring that all bespoke machines and process equipment meet stringent internal standards and client acceptance criteria before dispatch. The HOD QA is responsible for establishing a "Quality First" culture and managing the Quality Management System (QMS).

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control (Operational):

• Oversee Incoming Quality Control (IQC) for raw materials (steel plates, motors, gearboxes), ensuring material test certificates (MTC) match specifications.
• Manage In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) focused on dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and surface preparation (blasting/painting).
• Supervise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities including UT, MPT, DPT, and Radiography review.
• Conduct Final Inspection and Testing (FIT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with clients/Third Party Inspectors (TPI).

Quality Assurance (Systemic):

• Maintain and upgrade the ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) for all internal rejections and customer complaints.
• Qualify and audit vendors/sub-contractors to ensure their output meets company standards.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure preparation of comprehensive Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) for each project.
• Maintain Manufacturing Data Reports (MDR) and history cards for all equipment.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: B.E. in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering. Certified Welding Inspector (CWI/CSWIP) and NDT Level II/III certification preferred.
• Experience: 12–18 years in heavy engineering QA/QC.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with ASME Sec VIII, Sec IX, AWS D1.1, and ISO standards.

Key Competencies

• Integrity: Ability to stop production if quality standards are compromised.
• Customer Facing: Professional handling of TPIs (Third Party Inspectors) and Client Representatives during FAT.
• Analytical Thinking: Using data (Seven QC tools) to reduce rework and rejection rates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
