About this Role

As a Product Owner within an Agile team at VOIS, you will play a pivotal role in delivering value through each iteration. You will be responsible for defining user stories, prioritising the team backlog, and ensuring alignment with business goals. This role demands a collaborative mindset, a customer-centric approach, and a strong understanding of Agile principles, particularly within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.

What you will do

• Backlog Management

• Own and maintain the team backlog.
• Write clear and concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Prioritise backlog items based on business value, dependencies, and stakeholder input.
• Ensure backlog visibility and transparency for all stakeholders.

• Iteration Planning

• Collaborate with the Agile team during iteration planning to define and commit to deliverables.
• Clarify story details and ensure readiness for development.
• Support the team in understanding the scope and expectations of each story.

• Story Acceptance

• Review and accept completed stories during the iteration.
• Ensure deliverables meet the Definition of Done (DoD) and align with business expectations.

• Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Management to understand features and priorities.
• Partner with the Scrum Master to facilitate team processes.
• Engage with System Architects/Engineering for technical alignment.
• Liaise with Business Owners and Stakeholders to gather feedback and align on priorities.

• Participation in SAFe Events

• Actively participate in PI (Program Increment) Planning, Iteration Planning, Daily Stand-ups (as needed), System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops.

• Customer-Centric Mindset

• Champion the voice of the customer throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ensure the team is building the right product with the right quality.

What skills you need

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
• Strong understanding of SAFe Agile principles and practices.
• Proficiency in writing user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
• Ability to prioritise and manage a dynamic backlog.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders.
