Hiring for Supply Chain Manager _FMCG Client_Chennai

Position - Supply Chain Manager

Supply Chain Manager to oversee the operations of our centralized factory. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless management of raw materials, production stock, and logistics, ensuring our premium FMCG products reaches customers across India efficiently and in perfect condition.

Key Responsibilities-

Inventory Management:

    • Oversee and maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished products.
    • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages or overstocking.
    • Develop and implement inventory control procedures.

Procurement:

    • Source and procure high-quality raw materials to meet production needs.
    • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.

Production Coordination:

    • Coordinate with the production team to align raw material availability with manufacturing schedules.
    • Monitor the production process to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.

Logistics and Distribution:

    • Plan and manage the distribution of ice cream across India, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
    • Partner with logistics providers to optimize transportation costs and maintain product quality during transit.
    • Track and manage shipments to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Data and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, shipments, and vendor performance.
    • Prepare and present supply chain performance reports to senior management.

Process Improvement:

    • Identify and implement opportunities to optimize supply chain operations.
    • Introduce best practices to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance sustainability.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the food or FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Knowledge of cold chain logistics and food safety standards is a plus.
