Role Summary:

BMS Principal Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and own the

  software architecture

  for BMS, including functional layers, middleware, and hardware abstraction.
• Lead development of core BMS functions:
• SOC/SOH estimation
• Thermal management
• Protection and fault logic
• Cell balancing strategies
• On-board diagnostics (OBD)
• Collaborate with system engineers to translate system requirements into software specifications.
• Ensure compliance with

  ISO 26262

  (functional safety) and

  ASPICE

  standards for software development.
• Design

  scalable, modular, and reusable

  software components adaptable across various EV platforms.
• Architect and implement communication interfaces using

  CAN, LIN, UDS, ISO 15118

  protocols.
• Oversee integration with BMS hardware components such as AFE, MCU, EEPROM, and bootloaders.
• Support and guide validation activities including

  MIL/SIL/HIL testing

  and lab debugging.
• Conduct architectural reviews with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong technical knowledge of

  Li-ion battery systems

  , cell chemistry, and BMS topologies.
• Proficient in

  embedded C/C++

  ,

  MATLAB/Simulink

  for model-based design and control.
• Hands-on experience with:

• AUTOSAR

  and

  RTOS

• Embedded platforms (e.g., NXP, Infineon)
• BMS control algorithms (SOC/SOH, thermal, current/power limits)
• Experience with:

• Diagnostic protocols

  (UDS)

• Calibration tools

  (INCA, CANape)

• Testing tools

  (CANoe, Vector)
• Familiarity with

  ISO 26262

  (ASIL) and

  ISO 21434

  (cybersecurity) compliance.
