Senior Manager (SM) Cards & Payments BSG (Networks Certification) plays a pivotal role within the Business Solutions Group, reporting directly to the Vice President. As a team leader, the AVP will oversee a specialized team focused on the certification and compliance of card issuance , transaction processing systems and ACS. This role is tailored for an expert with a deep understanding of payment network certifications, ISO 8583 messaging standards, and secure transaction processing platforms, including hands-on project delivery and regulatory alignment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the implementation and certification of transaction processing systems, such as CTL Online PRIME and Base24, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

2. Oversee and manage ACS (Access Control Server) projects, with a focus on 3D secure protocol implementation across RuPay, Visa, and Mastercard networks.

3. Collaborate closely with payment networks to ensure full compliance, certification, and audit readiness of card issuance systems, facilitating successful certifications and renewals.

4. Leverage in-depth expertise in ISO 8583 messaging standards to design, review, and optimize transaction flows and system interfaces.

5. Drive the implementation of tokenization solutions, specifically for secure card data handling, and ensure alignment with Axis Banks security architecture and RBI guidelines.

6. Prepare and review Business Requirement Documents, solution designs, and user stories for new initiatives and enhancements in the Cards & Payments domain.

7. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, oversee UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and ensure timely resolution of defects related to network certification and compliance.

8. Maintain ongoing communication with technology partners, vendors, and senior management regarding project status, regulatory changes, and technology trends.

9. Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on payment systems, network certifications, and transaction processing.
• Demonstrated expertise in ISO 8583 messaging, card issuance systems, and payment network protocols.
• Proven track record of managing ACS projects and implementing 3D secure protocols across major card networks.
• Experience with tokenization solutions and regulatory compliance (RBI guidelines).
• Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or equivalent) is preferred.
