Highway Engineer - TRN

Description

• Key Responsibilities:
• Modeling and designing roadway using OpenRoad/ OpenRail, Civil-3D
• Prepare the production drawings such as plan & Profile, detailed cross section, typical section, intersection details.
• Civil site design for facilities and developments.
• Standard design of civil roadway project work. o Hydraulic calculation for bridges.
• Highway design's expected safety and operational performance.
• Capture client requirements and if needed, advise them regarding civil works, systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.
• Manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule and budget.
• Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization.
• A committed team player able to work on own initiative.
• Work with a team locally to deliver projects overseas to the US project management team.
• Tools:
• Sound knowledge of Open Road/ Open Rail, CIVIL-3D
• Preferred Understanding of Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, OneNote
• A plus but not required: IHSDM, HEC-RAS, StormCad, Flow Master, Project-Wise
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized institution
• Minimum 2 to 7 years of working experience in the related civil roadway transportation industry.
• Working knowledge of International codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, AASHTO, FHWA, American-DOT etc.) applicable for Roads and rail projects.
• Knowledge of Highway Safety Guidelines and relevant codes.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
