Job Description

Job Description: As a Highway/Road Designer (Infrastructure) in Durgapur, West Bengal, you will be responsible for end-to-end project design and delivery for Roadway design-related tasks. Your duties will include: - Preparation / Finalization of various roadway-related drawings at various stages of projects. - Computation of quantities and catchment design. - Preparation of design reports; and, Ability to understand existing condition reports and surveys. - Conducting training and mentoring team members. - Leading and designing D&B projects. - Experience in handling a minimum of two D&B projects overseas, preferably for Road design Infrastructure Projects. - In-depth knowledge of Road and design codes for various countries and implementation of the same in the Project execution. - Conversant with AASHTO and various DOT specifications and standards. - Knowledge of Civil 3D to develop 3D models and generate Shop Drawings based on the design data. - Designing road signage as per Signage Codes or Standards for various countries. - Concept on clash coordination, constructability review, and RFI. - Quality Checking to ensure error-free delivery of tasks. - Creating an Infrastructure 2D drawing using Bentley Open Road Designer or any Bentley platform will be an added advantage. Your secondary tasks will include: - Reading and interpreting inputs and specifications. - Coordinating and accounting for any changes in our scope of work. - Knowledge of automation process for faster execution of tasks. - Knowledge of Automation in terms of project execution is preferable. - Leading and planning multiple projects. - Communicating with the Client in Review Meetings. Qualifications Required: - Graduate in Civil Engineering (Any certificate or degree in Highway Engineering is an added advantage). - 4-6 years of experience in the field. - A quality-conscious team leader with an outgoing personality. - Practical knowledge of Design as per industry standards (BIM knowledge is preferable). - Ability to function in a team-oriented environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Thriving in an environment where knowledge is shared and ideas are developed. - Technically well-founded and have an interest in technical challenges. - Anticipating problems and developing contingency. - Analytical reasoning. - Ability to fact-find and follow through.,
