Head Technology

Position Overview:

The Head of Technology will be responsible for driving the overall technology strategy, architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade digital platforms including portals, knowledge management systems (KMS), and curriculum delivery portals. The ideal candidate is an experienced solution architect with strong leadership skills, hands-on technical expertise, and a deep understanding of scalable, secure, and user-centric technology ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the organizations technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that improve scalability, performance, and user experience.
• Build and lead a high-performing technology team across development, architecture, DevOps, and QA.

Solution Architecture & Design

• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise portals, KMS, and learning/curriculum delivery platforms.
• Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.
• Oversee end-to-end system integration, ensuring seamless interoperability across platforms and services.

Technology Development & Implementation

• Drive the full lifecycle of software development — from conceptualization to deployment and support.
• Ensure robust data models, APIs, and system architectures that enable content delivery, personalization, and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, Content, Operations) to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

Infrastructure & Security

• Define and implement cloud infrastructure strategies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Ensure data privacy, platform security, and compliance with industry standards.
• Implement DevOps practices for CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment.

Innovation & Optimization

• Continuously optimize technology performance and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate third-party tools, platforms, and partnerships to accelerate delivery and innovation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 12–18 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or solution architect role.
• Proven experience in designing and developing:

• Web Portals / Enterprise Portals

• Knowledge Management Systems (KMS)

• E-learning / Curriculum Delivery Platforms (LMS, CMS, etc.)

• Strong understanding of modern technology stacks:

• Frontend:

  React.js / Angular / Vue.js

• Backend:

  Node.js / .NET Core / Java / Python

• Databases:

  MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar

• Cloud:

  AWS / Azure / GCP

• DevOps:

  Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitOps pipelines
• Experience with microservices architecture, API design, and content delivery frameworks.
• Sound knowledge of system security, SSO, and access management.
• Experience in data analytics, reporting tools, and integration with AI/ML components is a plus.
