Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an R&D strategy aligned with business growth.
• Lead product innovation, design, and applications across the Company’s portfolio.
• Collaborate with academic/research institutions (e.g., IITs) for testing and development.
• Benchmark the Company’s technologies against global standards and competitors.
• Oversee end-to-end product development from concept to implementation.
• Document R&D processes, testing protocols, and design methods.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to translate strategy into actionable R&D outputs.
• Represent the Company in industry forums to enhance brand credibility.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the design and R&D teams; effectively cascade KPIs.
  

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Skills

• M.Tech / M.E.
• Fellowship/active membership in professional bodies: Institution of Engineers, Indian Textile/Performance Textiles Societies, International Performance Textiles Associations.
• Expertise in polymers, performance textiles, product design, and specifications.
• Experience
• 15+ years in R&D and design leadership.
• Minimum 10 years as Head of R&D in infrastructure, Performance Textiles, civil engineering or related industries.
