The role holder is accountable for establishing Quality Management System (QMS) across BUs; managing and handling customer complaints; on time submission of 8D to the customers; analyzing internal rejections and facilitating to prepare CAPA; coordinating Daily Work Management (DWM) System of Quality; managing operations efficiently; reviewing quality records; validating quality MIS reports; adhering to customer visits, focusing on training and development of team members; hand-holding TQM projects; reviewing the effectiveness of calibration System; managing vendors; preparing and coordinating for TQM and Quality Review; handling of IR issues (Quality Function) in coordination with Manufacturing & HR; handling of Safety related activities in order to improve the profit of the organization as well as to retain the customers in the long run.
IC - Calibration :
The role holder is responsible for designing, developing, procuring, gauges, executing rework of gauges and alteration to next sizes; maintaining copies of National and International standards with respect to the recent edition (Specification Copies); extending support to all remote locations with respect to infrastructure for standards room, calibration support & audit support; adhering to calibration schedules for measuring instruments & checking gauges; handling IBR certification process for TPI facilities, ensuring statutory compliance, handling BIS certification process; facilitating ECT (Eddy Current Testing & Ultrasonic Testing) through external agency, maintaining standards room - testing equipment, measuring instruments & checking gauges, facilitating for MSA (Measurement System Analysis) and 100% adherence to safety norms, in order to ensure the usage of high-end testing process in the plant operations.
IC - TQM :
The role holder is responsible for facilitating TQM across the organization, ensuring vivid usage of TQM tools & practices in continual improvement projects, implementing TQM through SOP, QCPC, PMC, FO, Product Quality & Projects across all BUs, preparing & coordinating for TQM Consultant's visits, preparing & organizing for TQM Reviews, consolidation of MIS on TQM across all BUs and management reporting, supporting team to develop training modules, adhering to training calendar, driving TEI participation through Kaizen, SGA & CFT, nominating teams for TEI participation in external competitions and implementing TQM best practices, across all BUs, in order to enable a strong TQM Culture towards achieving the Business Results of the Organization through TQM way
IC - Quality :
The role holder is responsible for addressing customer complaints with 8D submission; monitoring & controlling internal rejections; preparing and implementing actions as per CAPA (Corrective Action & Preventive Action); conducting process audit & product audit as per the schedule & maintaining the appropriate records; coordinating for Daily Work Management (DWM) for quality related areas; handling operations efficiently at final inspection, UT / ECT; maintaining soft copies of quality records trough ERP & hard copies of the documents for future assessment & record; preparing & submitting MIS reports, adhering to customer visits; conducting training of new people about their job nature & quality systems; participating in TQM projects and adhering to safety norms, in order achieve 100% FTR Quality
IC - QMS :
The role holder is responsible for maintaining QMS Certification - IATF, PED, BIS, etc to sustain quality performance; planning & conducting internal audit & MRM; coordinating for external audits; providing support to conduct audit for new customers, sharing audit observation reports with appropriate recommendations; adhering to safety norms and extending support to perform QMS audit at remote locations, in order achieve 100% FTR Quality and targeted Customer Satisfaction Score.
Key Accountability Statement
Plan, prepare and co-ordinate for TQM & Quality Review on monthly basis, drive TQM initiative through Kaizen, SGA & CFT activities to eliminate top three defects {surface defects (dent & damages), weld defects and dimensional variation} and report the effectiveness of TQM and Quality through MIS, in order to ensure product quality in both regular and new products
Establish Quality Management System (QMS); handle customer complaints with high priority and proper analysis; facilitate to prepare and submit 8D to customers on time; conduct quality reviews as per the set frequency in the respective areas of the operations with production team on rejections (in plant & customer)
Initiate necessary corrective actions and preventive actions in order to meet quality targets (100% FTR) and ensure significant improvement in product quality (regular & new product) in order to improve Customer Scorecard Index
Manage operations efficiently; conduct process audit and product audits for critical sizes in order to ensure consistency in the product quality and take a lead in quality improvements / process capability improvements based on the interactions with the vendors & customers in order to improve the effectiveness of quality management system
Handle IR issues (Quality Function) in co-ordination with Manufacturing & HR; communicate the impact of IR issues with the respective shop floor members; plan and enhance the capability of supervisory staffs and shop floor associates in understanding customer requirements, customer processes and internal quality system with product application, in order to sustain customer complaints as zero
