Head Plant Quality

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Quality function and manage a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors.
• Act as the primary interface with MSILs quality team for all product quality-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with MSIL's quality standards, drawing approvals, and specifications.
• Handle MSIL audits including

  QAV

  ,

  SQE

  , and

  PPAP

  approvals.
• Manage documentation and implementation of

  APQP

  ,

  PPAP

  ,

  FMEA

  ,

  Control Plans

  , and

  SPC

  .
• Conduct and oversee root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of

  CAPA

  for internal/external rejections.
• Ensure effective implementation of

  IATF 16949

  ,

  ISO 9001

  , and customer-specific requirements.
• Monitor key quality KPIs: customer complaints, in-house PPM, line rejections, warranty claims, etc.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using

  Six Sigma

  ,

  8D, Kaizen, 5 Whys

  , etc.
• Develop vendor quality systems and coordinate supplier audits if applicable.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of quality inspection equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Automobile preferred).
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in automotive manufacturing with at least 3–5 for SM & 5-8 for AGM years in a managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of

  automotive quality tools and systems

  : PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D.
• Hands-on experience dealing with

  MSIL quality systems, audits, and documentation

  .
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within strict OEM timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to

  shock absorber or suspension component manufacturing

  .
• Certified Lead Auditor for

  IATF 16949

  or

  ISO 9001

  .
• Experience with QAD/SAP or other ERP-based quality modules.
• Working knowledge of Japanese quality practices will be an added advantage.

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
