About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to head our Placement and Corporate Interface function. This strategic leadership role requires a professional with a strong corporate network and the proven ability to drive exceptional placement results. You will be instrumental in building relationships with top recruiters, ensuring stellar placement outcomes, and enhancing our industry presence.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Placement & Corporate Relations
Strategic Leadership:
Design and implement placement strategies aligned with market trends and institutional goals.Corporate Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain partnerships with top-tier companies, startups, and public sector enterprises for final placements, internships, and live projects.Execution:
Oversee the entire placement process, including pre-placement talks, scheduling, and logistics, to ensure a professional experience for recruiters and students.Industry Interface:
Organize corporate talks, conclaves, guest lectures, and networking events.Data & Reporting:
Track placement metrics, prepare detailed recruiter feedback, and manage documentation for institutional rankings.
2. Training & Student Readiness :
Strategy & Planning:
Develop a comprehensive training roadmap and annual calendar aligned with industry trends.Skill Development:
Coordinate sessions on soft skills, business etiquette, aptitude, and domain-specific technical training (e.g., data analytics, finance modeling).Career Mentoring:
Provide guidance on resume building, LinkedIn optimization, interview preparation, and group discussion practice.Assessment:
Conduct training need analysis and design assessment tools to track student progress and address skill gaps.
3. Leadership & Collaboration :
Team Management:
Lead a high-performing team of placement coordinators and student placement committee members.Alumni Engagement:
Leverage the alumni network for mentorship, mock assessments, and placement support.Vendor Management:
Identify and coordinate with external training agencies and industry experts for workshops and masterclasses.
Desired Qualifications & Experience :
Education:
Postgraduate degree (preferably MBA or equivalent) from a reputed institution.Experience:
10+ years of relevant experience in corporate relations, placements, business development, or HR.Industry Network:
A strong existing network across sectors such as FMCG, BFSI, IT/ITES, Consulting, and Manufacturing.Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Mindset:
A strategic thinker with a result-oriented approach and demonstrated experience in leading teams.
