Head of Support Functions

As part of your role at Caxton Associates, you will be responsible for setting up, managing, and scaling the operational infrastructure of the India office. This position is crucial as you will serve as the second most senior leader in the region, reporting to the Head of India and having a dual reporting line into global leadership in London for various functions. Your main responsibilities will include: - Hiring, training, and mentoring a team of approximately 10-15 middle and back-office staff. - Developing clear KPIs, escalation procedures, and workflow metrics to track and report performance. - Maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring adherence to global operational policies and regulatory standards. - Liaising with London teams daily to uphold data integrity and operational efficiency. - Overseeing back-office activities such as Daily P&L verification, trade support, reconciliations, settlements, NAV oversight, and middle-to-back-office coordination. - Reviewing reconciliations between trading books and accounting ledgers to align operations, product control, and fund accounting. - Coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators for audits, financial statements, and investor reporting. To be successful in this role, you will need: - Over 10 years of relevant experience in hedge fund, asset management, or investment banking operations. - A Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA, or MBA (Finance) qualification is preferred, with a background in product control or fund accounting. - Proven experience in managing multi-asset post-trade processes and working with international teams. - Strong knowledge of operational workflows across OTC and listed products, as well as OTC and Fixed income valuation frameworks. - Familiarity with prime brokerage, fund administration, and trade lifecycle systems. - Previous experience in setting up or scaling an offshore operations center is advantageous. - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, operating with the highest degree of ethics and integrity.
