Head of Region AP India Sales
Are you the enthusiastic, self-driven and result-oriented professional who wants to move our customer s performance forward
We are looking for Head of Region AP India Sales and in this position you are required to
  • Managing and being accountable for leading and growing Packaging and Paper Service business in India Region with Order Booking, Profitability and sales SGA expenses control in accordance to Valmet vision, mission, values and Code of Conduct
  • Aligned with Valmet strategic initiatives, developing and executing sales, service and marketing strategy for India Region based on customer needs.
  • Developing guidelines and policies in line with Valmet strategy.
  • Responsible for sales expansion, develop and implement sales initiatives /strategies, including new product introductions, services development, and active relationship management towards existing and potential customers.
  • Negotiate terms of sales and directly lead deal discussions.
  • Establish and monitor targets in the Region such as product mix, sales volume, market share, profit development and business development.
  • Lead and coordinate different stakeholders (including but not limited to Product Sales management, Field Services, Customer services, Finance, HR) outside of reporting lines within the company to ensure that Valmet s core commitments to our customers and Valmet strategic initiatives in the region are fulfilled.
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of sales managers including setting the performance management objectives to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensuring best practices in HSE implemented in sales operation in the region
  • Support Packaging and Paper capital business leads
Work complexity and business impact: Manages a team of less than 10 managers coaching team members in skills, and schedules, allocates and monitors work of the team. Contributes to and executes sales, service and marketing strategy for India Region. Geographical scope: India Sub-continent
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering-related science or paper making
  • A minimum of 5 years of business management experience in a related field and in a position with profit and loss responsibility
  • Good understanding of different Valmet businesses and market environment
  • Financial acumen with analytical skills and commercial business mindset
  • Proven ability to create profitable initiatives and solutions, including achieving results in high pressure situations
  • Successful track record of leadership with an ability to build, inspire and lead teams to achieve goals in a matrix organization
  • Knowledge of key cultural differences and ability to adapt communication style accordingly
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English
  • Willingness and ability to travel
