Head of Manufacturing

We are hiring a Senior Manufacturing Leader for an exciting opportunity with our esteemed client a market-leading industrial packaging and manufacturing company known for high-quality rigid packaging solutions and strong operational excellence. This is a hands-on plant leadership role driving safety, quality, productivity and P&L in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Role summary

Lead the plant manufacturing function end-to-end: delivery of production targets, process excellence (OEE), safety, quality (APQP/TS16949), budget & P&L, CAPEX projects and developing a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Own plant operations to meet daily/weekly/monthly targets while achieving quality and delivery SLAs.
• Drive Operational Excellence OEE improvements, 5S (>90%), Kaizen, TPM and Lean initiatives.
• Lead quality & compliance (APQP, TS16949/IATF, ISO 14001) and safety (NEBOSH/IOSH awareness).
• Manage budgets, forecasts and P&L prepare and deliver CAPEX projects.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, machine & mould optimization, and maintenance strategy.
• Build, coach and retain the manufacturing team; implement KPI-driven performance management.
• Interface with PPC, HR, OE and leadership to align production plans and customer commitments.

Must-have qualifications & experience

• BE in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing. Post-grad in Advanced Manufacturing preferred; MBA (Operations) is an advantage.

• 1215+ years

  in plant manufacturing roles, with prior P&L and senior leadership exposure.
• Direct experience in

  rigid packaging / moulding / automotive plastics

  or closely related manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of

  APQP, TS16949, Lean, Six Sigma, OEE

  and ERP/MES usage.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable productivity/quality improvements and managing CAPEX projects.
• Hands-on understanding of machine and mould technologies and maintenance execution.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor and customer management skills.
