Job Summary: The Head of Infrastructure at the Qvantel MS Unit will lead and manage all aspects of IT infrastructure operations within a managed services environment. This role requires an experienced leader with a robust background in IT infrastructure for a telecom environment, cloud solutions, and platform management, particularly within regulated Telco environments. You will drive strategic initiatives, ensure high availability of infrastructure, and manage complex projects, including cloud migration, virtualization, and security upgrades. This position calls for expertise in vendor management, network operations, and a deep understanding of the technical challenges faced by telecom operators. Key Responsibilities: Define and implement the infrastructure strategy to support Qvantel Veon s business objectives and managed services requirements. Oversee the transformation and modernization of infrastructure, with a focus on cloud and virtualization initiatives. Collaborate with senior leadership to anticipate infrastructure needs and develop long-term technology roadmaps for managed services Manage and maintain high-performance data centers, cloud environments, and network infrastructure tailored for telecom services. Ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and compliance with telco regulations. Lead and supervise IT infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments. Lead cloud adoption strategies and implement virtualization for managed services solutions, optimizing for cost, security, and performance. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and telco-specific security protocols. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess infrastructure effectiveness, reliability, and alignment with managed service standards. Required Skills Deep technical knowledge in infrastructure management, cloud services, network management, and cybersecurity. Proven ability to handle challenging time constraints and pressure in a managed services environment. Strong vendor management and negotiation skills. Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master s degree preferred. Minimum 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a telecom environment. Proven expertise in managing complex telecom infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and virtualized environments (Kubernetes, VMware). Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure frameworks Excellent leadership and project management skills.
