Engineering Lead (AGM / DGM Level)

Reporting To - Head of Engineering

(Plant Leadership Hierarchy: Plant Head → Head of Engineering → Engineering Lead)

Position Overview

The Engineering Lead will be the #3 leadership position at the plant, responsible for end-to-end ownership of multiple core engineering functions. This role requires a senior engineering leader from a large, structured manufacturing organization, capable of driving engineering excellence, reliability, automation, and continuous improvement at scale.

The Engineering Lead will directly lead and integrate the following departments:

Process Engineering

Equipment Engineering

Repair Engineering

Failure Analysis Engineering

Testing Engineering

Automation Engineering

Fixtures Engineering

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

Drive plant-wide engineering strategy aligned with business and production goals

Ensure high equipment uptime, process capability, and product quality

Lead root cause analysis of complex failures and implement sustainable corrective actions

Champion automation, digitalization, and productivity improvement initiatives

Standardize engineering practices, documentation, and governance

Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams

People & Capability Development

Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams

Develop succession plans and technical leadership depth

Foster a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement

Stakeholder Management

Act as a key interface between plant leadership and engineering teams

Support plant head and engineering head in strategic decision-making

Work with vendors, OEMs, and technology partners as required
