Position Overview

The Head of Dyeing will lead and manage the entire dyeing department, ensuring efficient production, consistent quality, and adherence to SOPs. The role demands deep technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to coordinate across teams while maintaining discipline and operational excellence.

Educational Qualification & Experience

• B.Tech in Textile Engineering (Mandatory)
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in the textile dyeing industry, with proven expertise in managing dyeing operations and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Shift & Production Management
• Take charge of previous shift work schedules and resolve disputes or pending issues on an SOS basis (fabric dyeing production, urgent/pending dyeing, maintenance work).
• Collect detailed information of all batches, machine-wise, at the start of the shift.
• Review manpower allocation from the previous shift and reschedule in case of abnormalities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of all areas.
• Oversee dyeing production calculations and timely updates.
• Monitor process flow to achieve daily production targets, control reprocess, and ensure completion.
• Attend daily fabric quality check meetings and conduct stand-up meetings with operators and supervisors.

• 2. Process & SOP Compliance
• Check batch cards and record them in the dyeing program book based on priority and urgency.
• Inform the Grey Department about machine batch requirements to maintain smooth production flow.
• Verify recipe cards received from the lab as per batch requirements.
• Prepare chemical slips, sign them, and hand them over to the shift supervisor for counter-check and signature.
• Ensure batch processing and store issues are entered into the ERP system without fail.
• Ensure all machines operate strictly according to SOP parameters (pH check & sign, process bypass, parameter bypass, machine delays, etc.).

• 3. Quality Assurance
• Check shade matching according to standards, maintaining slightly brighter or slightly darker tones as per finishing requirements.
• (Note: Final accountability for shade matching lies with the Sr. Executive.)
• Check online dyeing process samples (Absorbency, Bio, Dye Dip, Alkali, Soaping, Final) and make necessary additions.
• Review and sign finishing shade samples; report any shade abnormality to the finishing department to avoid compacting.

• 4. Problem-Solving & Coordination
• Discuss hold batches with HOD–Production and work towards resolving issues.
• Monitor machine conditions and highlight maintenance needs to the Maintenance Team.
• Allocate machines according to the preventive maintenance schedule.

• 5. Resource & Wastage Control
• Control wastage of dyes, chemicals, and packing materials.
• Cross-check manpower movement and process discipline (machine delay, process bypass, chemical bypass, mobile usage, absence from work area).
• Consult with HOD–Production and take necessary action.

• 6. Feedback, Reporting & Documentation
• Execute the monthly feedback system effectively.
• Record instant feedback from supervisors/operators and review with HOD–Production.
• Manage operator leave allocation; consult with HOD–Production for critical cases.
• Ensure all operators follow PPE guidelines (Gumboots, Goggles, Gloves); monitor stock and report shortages.
• Prepare and submit departmental work progress and maintenance reports to HOD–Production.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
