Position: Head of D2C – Solar Business

The Head of D2C (Direct-to-Customer) will spearhead the launch and scale-up of a digital-first, customer-centric e-commerce platform for solar packaged solutions (Solar 360 kits). This pivotal leadership role drives the client’s strategic transition from conventional distribution to a dynamic, online-led business model.

• Build and Scale Platform: Develop and expand a robust D2C e-commerce platform offering solar solutions, with scope for future product lines.
• Lead Digital Strategy: Architect and execute comprehensive digital strategies to drive customer acquisition, online engagement, and sales growth.
• Go-to-Market Execution: Define and enforce go-to-market models including direct sales approaches, pricing frameworks, and discount structures to maximize market penetration.
• Competitive Benchmarking: Analyze and compete with industry leaders such as SolarSquare to set new benchmarks in service and innovation.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Guide and inspire cross-functional teams across technology, operations, marketing, and customer service to ensure seamless platform execution and delivery.

• Leadership Experience: 15–20 years of proven leadership in D2C and/or e-commerce environments, with a strong record of scaling businesses or platforms.
• Platform Building: Demonstrated success in building platforms at scale, ideally with exposure to top-tier e-commerce/consumer tech companies (e.g., Flipkart, Amazon).
• Execution Orientation: Ability to translate strategy into hands-on execution, driving results in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
• Industry Exposure: Experience in consumer durables, renewable energy, or similar sectors is highly desirable.
