Head of COO Risk and Controls Management

As the Head of COO Risk and Controls Management at HSBC, you will be leading the FS&GEC (Finance, Sustainability and Group External Communications) COO Risk and Controls Management team, supporting Finance FS&GEC by covering Audit, Workforce Enablement, TPRO/BIRO (Third Party Risk Oversight / Business Information Risk Oversight), Regulatory Compliance, and other areas on a global scale. Your responsibilities will include engaging with FS&GEC leadership team members, acting as the primary and/or escalation point of contact, and managing the team across Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore. **Principal Responsibilities:** - Manage the Audit team, including engagement with external auditors and support for GAC papers. - Oversee the TPRO/BIRO team, focusing on third party and information risk management, regulatory compliance, and Segregation of Duties. - Lead the Workforce Enablement team, supporting COOs with people-related initiatives and learning & development. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage, lead, and inspire the team. - Evolve the team in alignment with the strategic direction. - Act as a key contact for senior stakeholders. - Represent FS&GEC COO in governance forums. - Analyze processes for automation and drive continuous improvement. - Own end-to-end process for Risk and Controls Management activities. **Qualifications Required:** - Strategic mindset and experience in leadership positions. - Strong communication skills for presenting to senior leadership. - Experience in risk management, governance, and controls. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Strong people skills and commitment. - Commercial mindset with problem-solving skills. - Ability to adapt to changes and work in a dynamic environment.
