Job Description

As a dynamic and experienced professional, you will lead the Career Services Division at INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ART & DESIGN in New Delhi. Your role will involve overseeing all aspects of campus placements, building strong industry partnerships, and ensuring students and alumni have access to diverse career opportunities with top organizations. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the centralized college representative to the employment community. Conduct research to understand the skills, abilities, and credentials sought by employers for graduates. Collaborate with professors and department heads to identify relevant job titles and industries for graduates. - Develop and expand the pool of corporate recruiters for campus placements. Maintain effective employer relationships through site visits, mail campaigns, and marketing efforts. Plan campus hiring events such as job fairs to connect students with potential employers. - Provide career counseling to students and alumni, assisting them in defining career options and developing employment skills. Organize employment training workshops focusing on resume and portfolio preparation, job-search strategies, and mock interviews. - Collect and disseminate placement data, preparing statistical and qualitative reports for internal departments, employers, and academic units. Qualifications: - Minimum 8-10 years of managerial experience in campus placement and student career counseling. - Strong network of companies in creative fields like graphic/communication design, UX/UI design, advertisement and marketing agencies, fashion and lifestyle companies, interior and architectural firms preferred. - Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master's degree in a relevant discipline. - Proficiency in written and oral communication with strong interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and prioritization abilities. Ability to network, advocate, and engage with recruiters and various institutional constituents.,
