As a Business Development Manager (BDM) - Head (Commercial Interiors) at Opal Space, you will play a crucial role in leading and executing business growth strategies for our commercial interior division. Your responsibilities will involve strategic planning, market expansion, client engagement, lead management, ensuring quality service standards, and staying updated on industry trends and market intelligence. In terms of strategic planning, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive business development strategies to expand our company's presence in the commercial interior market. This includes identifying new market opportunities, setting clear objectives for business expansion, and focusing on commercial establishments, warehouses, hospitals, hotels, and other commercial spaces. Your role will also involve driving efforts to onboard new clients, particularly for large-scale projects, by researching potential leads, engaging directly with project stakeholders, and tailoring our services to meet client needs. Additionally, you will be tasked with prospecting and identifying new business opportunities, conducting presentations and service demonstrations, and closing sales deals to contribute to revenue growth. Managing and qualifying leads through systematic follow-ups, ensuring quality service delivery, and staying updated on industry trends and market shifts will also be key aspects of your role. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience in business development or sales, with at least 5 years in the commercial interior or construction industry. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions, are essential for success in this position.
