Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and oversee all culinary operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing menus, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and delivering an exceptional dining experience that aligns with our brand and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen Leadership:
  • Lead, train, and manage the kitchen team, including sous chefs, line cooks, and kitchen assistants.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Menu Development:
  • Plan and design seasonal and specialty menus, ensuring variety, quality, and cost-efficiency.
  • Stay updated with food trends and customer preferences to innovate and refresh offerings.
  • Operations & Quality Control:
  • Ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation.
  • Monitor portion sizes and reduce food waste while maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
  • Enforce strict adherence to food hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP or local standards).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
  • Inventory & Cost Management:
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and manage food costs.
  • Work within budgetary constraints and implement cost-effective practices.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Provide input on restaurant marketing, events, and promotions when applicable.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or similar role in a high-volume or fine-dining establishment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards during busy hours.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
