Job Description

Head Business Finance (Rental Businesses)

Executive Director

Navi Mumbai

Role summary

This is a business-focused finance role responsible for building a robust planning and control framework for large-scale, operationally active rental portfolios.

Key responsibilities

Lead budgeting, monthly/quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range financial planning for rental businesses.
Build and maintain unit-economics models for each product/vertical (revenue per unit, contribution margin, CAC, LTV, churn).
Be the primary business finance partner to the Rental-BU CEO — translate strategy into financial plans and commercial KPIs.
Develop investment frameworks for expansion (beds, new models, technology).
Oversee pricing, pricing experiments, yield & revenue assurance initiatives.
Create investor-level dashboards, MIS, and monthly performance summaries for management and the board.
Drive working-capital optimization and capex planning for asset-light or asset-managed rentals.
Partner with accounting, tax and compliance teams to ensure accurate month-end close and regulatory reporting.
Mentor and lead Finance & FP&A team supporting operations and business analytics.

Must-have skills & experience

8–12+ years in corporate finance/FP&A/CA roles; experience in consumer marketplaces / PropTech / real-estate preferred.
Deep experience in unit-economics modelling, pricing, and commercial finance.
Expertise in financial modeling, pricing analytics, and P&L management.
Experience in driving profitability improvement for multi-location or asset-based businesses.
Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.

Qualification

Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance).
Prior experience in mid-to-large-scale consumer or real estate businesses preferred.
