Position : Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location : Ahmedabad Company : Reputed Infra & RE company with 3200+ employee strength Department : Green Energy Division Reporting to : CEO Job Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the organizations financial strategy, fundraising, compliance, and investor relations, with a strong focus on scaling renewable energy businesses including Solar, Wind, Hybrid, BESS, and FDRE projects. This role demands extensive experience in corporate finance, project finance, and capital markets, along with exposure to IPO-readiness and global investor engagement. Our current order book is 700 MW in Solar Projects and 412.5 MW/1.2 GWh in BESS Projects. We are targeting 3 GW RE Projects and 5 GWh BESS Projects in the next 3 years. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Planning & Leadership Develop and implement scalable financial systems, governance structures, and reporting processes aligned with rapid growth and diversification. Drive strategic planning, capital structuring, and fundraising to support renewable energy expansion. Provide data-driven financial insights to the CEO and Board to guide investment, acquisition, and operational decisions. Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Build a robust long-term funding roadmap, ensuring optimal leverage, liquidity, and returns. Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Monitoring Lead annual budgeting, business planning, and forecasting processes across projects and SPVs. Implement financial analytics dashboards and KPIs to track operational and financial performance. Drive cost optimization and capital efficiency through variance and sensitivity analyses. Treasury, Fundraising & Investor Relations Manage end-to-end fundraising activities equity, debt, mezzanine, and structured instruments. Lead engagement with private equity, venture capital, and strategic investors (domestic and international). Manage treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, and investment strategy. Maintain strong investor communication and reporting, aligning with governance and ESG standards. Accounting, Compliance & Reporting Oversee accounting, audit, and statutory reporting functions in compliance with IND-AS/IFRS. Lead financial audits, internal controls, and ERP/AI-based system implementations. Ensure compliance with SEBI, MCA, RBI, GST, FEMA, and other statutory frameworks. Manage tax planning, transfer pricing, and risk mitigation strategies. IPO Readiness & Capital Markets Drive the companys IPO-readiness program, ensuring robust governance, financial transparency, and process standardization. Coordinate with investment bankers, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities during listing preparation. Prepare investor presentations, DRHP financial sections, and post-listing reporting frameworks. Lead valuation, equity structuring, and capital market communications. Governance & Risk Management Ensure strong internal controls, policy frameworks, and compliance culture. Identify, assess, and mitigate key financial, legal, and operational risks. Support the CEO and Board in strategic decision-making, financial governance, and audit committee management. Technical & Functional Competencies: Deep understanding of renewable energy project economics, PPAs, and tariff structures. Strong proficiency in project finance, financial modeling, and capital structuring. Expertise in debt syndication, equity placement, and investor relations. Experience in IPO process management, valuation, and regulatory filings. Proficiency in ERP and financial automation tools; AI-driven analytics exposure preferred. Sound knowledge of taxation (direct and indirect), corporate governance, and internal audit frameworks. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Strategic advisor to the CEO and Board, contributing to long-term growth and shareholder value creation. Mentor and develop high-performing finance teams. Lead financial communications and compliance efforts with key external stakeholders including investors, banks, auditors, and government regulators. Build credibility and trust across internal and external stakeholders. Key Skills & Attributes Fundraising & capital market expertise (debt/equity/IPO). Regulatory knowledge: SEBI, RBI, FEMA, GST, Companies Act. Treasury and forex management. M&A, JV, and investor relations management. Strategic and analytical mindset. Leadership presence with strong communication and governance orientation. Preferred Background Experience in Renewable Energy or Power sectors (IPP, EPC, or Utility-scale). Exposure to capital market transactions, IPO preparation, or post-listing financial governance. Familiarity with DISCOMs, RE policies, tenders, and power purchase agreements (PPA/APPC/RTM). Educational Qualification CA is mandatory. MBA (Finance) or LLB is an added advantage. Experience 20 - 25 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 - 7 years as Head of Finance / CFO in power, or renewable energy sector. Proven record in project finance, debt syndication, and large-scale financial structuring. Experience in IPO-readiness, listing process management, and investor relations with domestic/international institutions. Hands-on exposure to multi-SPV and multi-state project finance operations.
