Job Description

As a Computer Service Engineer, IT Support Technician, or a similar role, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to clients both onsite and remotely. You will be tasked with diagnosing and troubleshooting computer system malfunctions, software errors, and network connectivity issues. Additionally, you will install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications. System upgrades, repairs, and data recovery tasks will also fall within your purview. In this role, you will need to set up and configure network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Providing technical assistance and training to clients on computer usage and software applications will be crucial. It is essential to document all service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately and in a timely manner. Keeping a comprehensive inventory of hardware, software, and tools updated will be part of your routine. To stay relevant in this position, you must stay abreast of the latest technology trends and advancements in computer hardware, software, and networking. Collaboration with other technical team members to resolve complex issues will be necessary. Ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction are key aspects of this role. Traveling to client locations may be required to provide onsite support. Qualifications and Skills required for this role include proven experience in a similar position, strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts. Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues is essential. Familiarity with network devices configuration and troubleshooting, as well as data backup and recovery procedures, will be beneficial. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication (both verbal and written), and interpersonal skills are essential. You should be able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users and prioritize client satisfaction. Working independently and as part of a team, along with strong organizational and time management skills, will be advantageous. Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites is required.
