Job Description: Hardware & Network Engineer Position Overview The Hardware & Network Engineer will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization's IT infrastructure across warehouses and restaurant outlets. This includes LAN installation, wireless access point deployment, printer setup and maintenance, and administration of the company’s POS and inventory management software. Key Responsibilities Network Infrastructure Install, configure, and maintain LAN networks, including switches, routers, and structured cabling. Set up and manage wireless access points to ensure reliable connectivity across all locations. Perform regular network health checks, uptime monitoring, and performance optimization. Troubleshoot network outages, latency issues, and hardware failures. Hardware Installation & Support Install, configure, and provide support for desktop systems, POS devices, tablets, and peripherals. Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Kitchen Order Ticket (KOT) printers, billing printers, barcode scanners, and other hardware used in warehouse and restaurant operations. Conduct preventive maintenance for all IT hardware across sites. Software Administration Administer, update, and troubleshoot the organization’s POS and inventory management software. Manage user accounts, permissions, and application configurations. Coordinate with software vendors for escalated issues, updates, and integrations. Ensure consistent data synchronization between outlets, warehouses, and central systems. IT Operations & Support Provide on-site and remote technical support to warehouses and restaurant branches. Manage IT inventory including hardware, accessories, and spare parts. Maintain documentation of network layouts, device configurations, and support logs. Implement basic cybersecurity practices such as access control, endpoint protection, and device-level security. Coordination & Reporting Work closely with Operations, Accounts, and Management teams to ensure seamless functioning of IT systems. Escalate critical issues to senior management and track resolution. Generate periodic reports on network status, IT assets, issues resolved, and system improvements.   Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in hardware and networking support. Strong knowledge of: LAN setup, cabling standards, switching & routing basics Wireless networking and access point installation Printer installation & troubleshooting (especially thermal/KOT printers) Experience managing POS or inventory management platforms. Basic understanding of firewalls, IP addressing, and network security. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Willingness to travel to multiple company locations as required. Preferred Qualifications Certification in hardware/networking (e.g., CCNA, Network+, Hardware & Networking Diploma). Experience in retail, hospitality, or F&B industry IT environments.
