We are looking for Hardware Engineer – Safety-Critical Systems (Kavach)
The Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of hardware components for the Kavach program. The role involves microprocessor/microcontroller and FPGA-based design, PCB development, and support for SIL-4 compliant hardware development. The position requires strong technical expertise in hardware design and the ability to work closely with senior engineers, safety teams, and cross-functional groups. You’ll make a difference by

Design and develop hardware circuits using microcontrollers, microprocessors, and FPGA components.

Contribute to schematic design, PCB layout support, and design documentation.

Perform hardware integration, debugging, and testing.

Support development of SIL-4 compliant designs in alignment with safety standards.

Collaborate with RAMS teams to support reliability and safety analysis (FMEA, FTA, MTBF).

Participate in hardware verification, validation, and environmental testing.

Work with suppliers for component selection and prototyping.

Document design activities and support audits/reviews.

Desired
Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.

3–8 years of experience in hardware design and PCB development.

Hands-on experience with microcontroller, microprocessor, and FPGA-based hardware.

Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, etc.).

Exposure to safety-critical hardware development and SIL-4 standards (EN 50126/8/9, EN 50129).

Basic understanding of RAMS and reliability analysis methods.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Good documentation and communication ability.

Team player with willingness to learn from senior engineers.
