Job Title: Ground Operations Staff / Ground Staff / Airport Operations Agent / Customer Service Agent (Ground) / Ramp Agent (Specify if focusing on ramp only) Department: Ground Operations / Airport Services / Customer Service Reports To: Ground Operations Supervisor / Station Manager / Airport Manager Location: Nashik Airport (Ozar), Maharashtra, India (This is a hands-on, shift-based role primarily performed at the airport terminal and ramp area). Job Summary: We are seeking diligent, service-oriented, and highly responsible Ground Operations Staff to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our airline/airport operations at Nashik Airport. The ideal candidate will be involved in a variety of critical tasks, including passenger handling, baggage management, aircraft marshalling, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and security protocols. This role requires excellent communication skills, physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic airport environment. Key Responsibilities: Passenger Services & Check-in: Greet and assist passengers at the check-in counters, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Verify passenger tickets, passports, visas, and other travel documents. Assign seats, issue boarding passes, and handle baggage check-in, adhering to airline weight and size restrictions. Assist passengers with special needs (e.g., elderly, disabled, unaccompanied minors). Provide accurate flight information, manage flight delays/cancellations, and assist passengers with rebooking or other solutions. Handle passenger inquiries, resolve issues, and provide excellent customer service. Baggage Handling & Reconciliation: Ensure proper tagging, sorting, and loading of passenger baggage onto the aircraft. Assist with baggage reconciliation to ensure all checked bags are loaded on the correct flight. Manage lost and found baggage procedures, assisting passengers with claims and tracing. Ramp Operations (if applicable/trained): Marshall aircraft to and from parking stands, providing clear signals to pilots. Place chocks, cones, and ground power units (GPU) as required. Oversee baggage and cargo loading/unloading, ensuring proper weight distribution and security. Operate ground support equipment (GSE) such as baggage tractors, pushback tugs, and passenger stairs (with proper training and licensing). Ensure safety of all personnel and equipment on the ramp during aircraft turnaround. Aircraft Turnaround Coordination: Coordinate with various airport departments (e.g., ATC, catering, cleaning, fuel, security) to ensure timely aircraft departure. Monitor and report any irregularities or issues during aircraft handling. Prepare and dispatch flight documents and manifests. Safety, Security & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all aviation safety regulations, airport authority guidelines, and airline standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct security checks and ensure compliance with security protocols on the terminal and ramp. Report any safety hazards, incidents, or security breaches immediately. Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively with passengers, airline crew, airport personnel, and ground handling teams.
