Job Description

Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes for the plant. Develop and implement financial models to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements. Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and recommending corrective actions. Cost Accounting & Control: Manage and maintain the plant's cost accounting system, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost allocations. Analyze production costs, material consumption, labor utilization, and overheads to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency initiatives. Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency and cost effectiveness. Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements specific to the plant, in compliance with Ind AS (Indian Accounting Standards) and corporate accounting policies. Prepare detailed operational and financial performance reports for plant management and corporate finance. Manage month-end and year-end closing activities for the plant. Inventory Management & Valuation: Oversee inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and obsolescence analysis. Work closely with the supply chain and production teams to optimize inventory levels and control working capital. Capital Expenditure (Capex) Management: Evaluate and approve capital expenditure requests (CERs), perform ROI analysis, and track project costs against budget. Ensure proper accounting for fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposal. Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish, maintain, and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure data integrity, and mitigate financial risks within the plant operations. Ensure strict compliance with all relevant statutory regulations (e.g., GST, Income Tax, Companies Act), corporate policies, and ethical guidelines. Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors for all plant-related financial audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided. Business Partnering: Act as a trusted financial advisor to the Plant Head and cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, HR) to support operational decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Provide financial insights for make-or-buy decisions, new product introductions, and process optimization projects. Team Leadership (if applicable): Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of finance professionals within the plant, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning. Local Communication: Effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, plant personnel, and local vendors in Marathi and Hindi . Excellent command of English is also essential for corporate reporting and communication.
