Grid Expert Electrical - Solar

As an Electrical Grid Expert at ENGIE in Pune, you will be responsible for overseeing grid connection of medium, high, and extra high voltage systems. Your key responsibilities will include: - Reviewing grid management, PSS, GSS, and BoP design, drawing, and document submissions from EPC contractors - In charge of all aspects and documentation of contractual negotiations during Business Development - Procurement, design, installation, commissioning, and testing of wind farm grid monitoring equipment and control systems - Developing technical understanding of electrical characteristics of solar, wind, and storage solutions products - Liaising with stakeholders to optimize grid connection arrangement for efficiency - Establishing relationships with grid stakeholders and local grid network operators - Preparation and review of Solar PV Layouts/SLD, engineering calculations, trench layouts, and OEM vendors drawings - Supporting construction managers during construction, commissioning phase, and operations - Technology watch and knowledge sharing within the team Qualifications required for this role: - Master/Bachelor degree in engineering from an AICTE recognized University - Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in the power generation sector, ideally in the Renewable/Solar & Wind sector - Specific knowledge and expertise in grid operations, energy distribution, and designing/reviewing GSS, PSS, and BoP in solar PV projects - Extensive experience with PSCAD, PSS/E, ETAP, DigSILENT - Understanding of country/region technical regulations and standards - Ability to draft, review, and negotiate commercial and contractual agreements - Strong background in undertaking grid connection studies and interpreting simulation study performance In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate should possess behavioral competencies such as good people management skills, flexibility, meticulousness, and proactive approach.
