The Role:
As a Graphics Programmer at LightFury, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality, efficient, and scalable graphics code for our AAA games. You will work closely with the programming team, designers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement graphics features that meet the project's artistic and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient, and scalable graphics code for our AAA games.
- Collaborate with the programming team to develop and implement graphics features, including shaders, lighting, and special effects.
- Work with the design team to develop and implement graphics features that meet their needs, including game mechanics, AI, and physics.
- Troubleshoot and optimize graphics-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for graphics code and pipelines.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that graphics code meets the needs of the game and is delivered on time.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in game development and graphics programming.
Graphics Programming Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of computer graphics principles, including 3D math, rendering techniques, and graphics pipelines.
- Proficiency in C++ and graphics programming APIs, including DirectX, Vulkan, or OpenGL.
- Experience with graphics programming languages, including HLSL, GLSL, or Cg.
- Familiarity with graphics tools and software, including Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with game engines, including Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with multi-threading and parallel processing.
- Knowledge of computer vision, machine learning, or physics-based simulations.
- Experience with virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) development.
- Familiarity with game development pipelines and tools, including Perforce and Git.
