Role Summary:

Government Sales Manager (Semiconductors/IT)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Government Business Development:

    Identify and pursue business opportunities in

    government sectors

    , including ministries, PSUs, defence, and state departments.
  • Tender Participation:

    Track and manage participation in

    GeM, eProcurement portals

    , and

    government tenders

    , ensuring timely and competitive submissions.
  • Relationship Management:

    Build and maintain relationships with key government officials, procurement officers, and department heads.
  • Strategic Planning:

    Develop a government-focused sales plan, aligned with the companys embedded and IT solutions portfolio.
  • Bid & Proposal Management:

    Draft, review, and submit

    EOIs, RFPs, RFQs

    , and proposals for government projects.
  • Event Participation:

    Represent SAS ONE at

    government expos, defence exhibitions, and Smart City conferences

    to showcase capabilities.
  • Collaboration:

    Coordinate with internal tech and product teams to align offerings with government project needs.
  • Compliance & Documentation:

    Ensure all documentation, certifications, and pre-qualification criteria are met for government engagements.
  • Policy Monitoring:

    Stay updated with

    govt policies, funding schemes, and public sector digitization trends

    to position SAS ONE effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Engineering, Business, or related field

    .
  • 5+ years of experience

    in B2G (Business to Government) sales or business development in the

    semiconductor, embedded, or IT domain

    .
  • Proven track record of winning and managing

    government accounts/tenders

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    e-Governance, defence procurement, GeM, and public sector sales cycles

    .
  • Excellent

    communication, networking, and negotiation skills

    .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with

    GeM portal, NIC tenders, Smart City or Digital India initiatives

    .
  • Background in

    embedded systems, electronics, IoT, or defence tech

    is a plus.
  • MBA

    or equivalent degree.
  • Prior government liaison or

    public sector consulting

    experience.
