Job Description

Job Role:

To lead and execute all land acquisition activities within the assigned state, ensuring timely availability of clear, dispute-free, and cost-effective land parcels for solar and wind projects, in line with Avaadas business plan and sustainability values.

Qualification

Experience-

Key Responsibilities:

i.)

Develop a state-level land acquisition strategy aligned with Avaadas corporate goals, project pipeline, and grid infrastructure availability.
Identify high-potential regions and prioritize areas based on renewable resource assessment, evacuation feasibility, and land availability.
Maintain a database of land rates, government policies, and market trends within the state.

ii.)

Drive identification of suitable land parcels (private, government, revenue, or wasteland) for solar and wind projects.
Ensure technical feasibility (shadow-free zones, wind speeds, contiguity of parcels) in collaboration with engineering teams.
Oversee preliminary and detailed due diligence of land titles and records.

iii.)

Build and maintain strong relationships with:
Local landowners & community leaders.
Brokers & facilitators.
State & district-level government officials (Revenue, Energy, Forest, Panchayat, etc.).
External legal & technical consultants.

iv.)

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing land acquisition team across the state.
Set clear KPIs and monitor progress to ensure timely milestones.
Provide on-ground guidance during negotiations, documentation, and possession.

v.)

Ensure compliance with applicable land laws, renewable energy policies, and state government guidelines.
Resolve legal disputes, title defects, and regulatory challenges in coordination with the Legal team.
Oversee proper documentation, registrations, and mutation processes.
