Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

  • Team management skills
  • Governance and processes implementation
  • Manage sourcing for multiple projects
  • Analyse industry and demand trends and support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct industry research to identify potential new suppliers.
  • Identify and eliminate waste and/or variability in the supply chain.
  • Develop team to execute and implement organizational strategies in contracts and procurement domain.
  • Research regulations to ensure contracts are updated and in compliance with latest laws.
  • Enable the following activities
  • Evaluate suppliers based on products, services, performance and prices.
  • Negotiate contracts/agreements for procurement of materials / services.
  • Select suppliers; administer contracts throughout the project.
  • Assess supplier performance wrt: quality, cost, delivery, service.
  • Ensure on time preparation and issuance of purchase orders and agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns.
  • Inspection and evaluation of the quality of purchased items and resolve short comings
  • Prepare proposals, request Quotes/Bids, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with Vendors to ensure terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the terms and regulations.

Requirements and skills:

  • Proven work experience in contacts and Procurement leadership.
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents and legal terms and conditions
  • Ability to resolve client / stake holders complaints and concerns
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of the purchasing processes through sharing of good practices
  • Applying ethical and sustainable development principles
  • Anticipating the risks and opportunities at all phases of the purchasing process through market analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application resource planning systems like SAP

Qualifications and Work experience:

  • 20+ Years Experience in Procurement /Purchase/ Contracts/ Supply chain management (SCM)
  • A bachelors degree in engineering. An additional qualification of Business administration or supply chain management will be preferred.
