Job Description

This Position reports to:

Head of Finance Operations Global R2R Delivery Lead

This is a global role, but location is set in India, Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead Finance SSC in line with Group standards and best practices. Ensure continuous process improvement in accounting and reporting processes to offer cost efficiency
  • Strategy, budget, and planning: Develops and implements strategic plan for the Finance SSC and participates in strategic planning as a member of the GBSs management team. Coordinates preparation and enforces the Finance SSC budget. Guides, motivates, develops and set targets for the Finance SSC staff and the Accounting Center as a whole.
  • Best practice and group initiatives: Drives implementation of best practices and continuous optimization of processes to gain efficiencies and drive productivity gains. Drives harmonization and standardization locally in line with Group solutions and best practices and assists in development of global solutions.
  • Stakeholder management: Manages relationship with business partners to ensure that services are defined and delivered as agreed. Develops and maintains Service Level Agreements with business partners. Arranges and drives internal customer review meetings on a regular basis and tracks mutually agreed action plan.
  • Accounting & reporting and compliance: Enforces ABB Group Accounting Standards, compliance with ABBs Accounting and Reporting Guidelines, local GAAP and Internal Control over Financial Reporting with ABB Group Charter. Ensures transparency in financial reporting and enhances and manages internal control environment.
  • Audit Ensures internal/external audits and other statutory audits are handled with high standards and in a professional manner and the findings are addressed and resolved in a timely way.
  • People leadership and development Leads and supervises Finance SSC personnel. Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in finance operations, shared services, or global delivery roles
  • Strong knowledge of R2R processes, internal controls, and compliance frameworks
  • Proven leadership experience in managing large, multicultural teams
