Job Description We are seeking an experienced Global Classification Specialist to join our compliance and trade operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HTS and ECCN classifications and a strong understanding of international trade regulations . Key Responsibilities Classify raw materials, packaging, equipment, and finished goods under correct HTS and ECCN codes . Follow standard SOPs and ensure compliance with General Rules of Interpretation, General Notes, and Customs Rulings . Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret technical specs, EBOMs , and drawings to support classification accuracy. Maintain classification records and supporting documentation. Stay updated on global harmonized tariff schedules and regulatory changes. Work across cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate customs documentation . Required Skills and Qualifications 3 to 5 years of experience in Customs HTS & ECCN classification . Bachelors degree in Electronics, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering OR Master’s in Biochemistry . Additional certifications in International Trade or Customs Classification are a plus. Familiarity with global Harmonized Tariff Schedules is advantageous. Strong analytical and computer skills: Excel, databases, and Windows systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs . Experience in classifying electronics, chemicals, biologicals, and mechanical parts is highly desirable.
