Github Harness Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and automate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Harnessto streamline code integration and delivery.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer for automated provisioning and environment consistency.
• Build cloud-native deployments across AWS or Azure, leveraging Kubernetes (AKS / EKS / OpenShift) for container orchestration and scalability.
• Integrate DevSecOps best practices by embedding security validation, vulnerability scans, and secret management (HashiCorp Vault) into pipelines.
• Implement and maintain observability frameworks to monitor real-time metrics, performance trends, and deployment health.
• Drive Blue-Green and Canary deployment strategies to ensure zero-downtime application releases.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Application Development, and InfoSec teams to ensure infrastructure compliance and cloud governance.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting of production incidents, developing proactive automation to prevent recurrence.
• Apply Chaos Engineering principles to identify system vulnerabilities and strengthen fault tolerance.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging DevOps technologies to advance automation maturity and improve delivery efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 8+ years of IT experience including significant DevOps exposure; OR 12+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years in a dedicated DevOps capacity.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Proven expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and Packer scripting for automated infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong command of Python for automation and pipeline customization.
• Proficiency in container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS/EKS).
• Familiarity with secrets management and identity security using HashiCorp Vault or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
• Experience in Platform Engineering, GitOps workflows, and cloud-native deployments.
• Exposure to observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or ELK/EFK).
• Experience integrating pipelines with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools.
• Background in serverless computing, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
