Job Description

GIS Expert

Key Responsibilities:

Process and analyze GIS data from drone, satellite, and survey sources
Create maps, layers, layouts, and spatial reports
Work with shapefiles, KML/KMZ, GeoTIFF, DEM, contours, and orthomosaics
Perform spatial analysis (area, distance, volume, buffer, overlays)
Support mining, solar plant layout, transmission line, and land survey projects
Coordinate with field survey and drone teams for data validation
Maintain GIS databases and documentation

Required Skills:

Proficiency in
ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro / QGIS
Strong understanding of coordinate systems and projections
Experience with drone survey data (preferred)
Basic knowledge of
AutoCAD
(DWG/DXF handling)
Ability to interpret survey drawings and client requirements

Qualifications:

B.Tech / B.E / M.Sc / Diploma in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Remote Sensing, or related field
Certification in GIS or Remote Sensing is a plus
