Job description

As a GIS Specialist at our company, your role involves managing and analyzing spatial data using GIS tools, with a primary focus on ArcGIS. You will be responsible for digitizing and structuring infrastructure layers such as roads, utilities, and land use based on standardized templates. Your duties will also include integrating GIS data with AutoCAD and Revit drawings, as well as other engineerin g datasets. Knowledge of ArcGIS Server and IT/Cloud related setup is essential for publishing and deploying GIS platforms. Collaboration with planning, engineering, and AutoCAD teams is crucial to ensure spatial accuracy and consistency. Additionally, you will support spatial analysis for decision-making and project planning under the Gati Shakti framework. Maintaining organized GIS databases and metadata documentation, as well as assisting in quality control and validation of GIS datasets received from consultants or field teams, are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications for this role include a Degree/Diploma in Geography, Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field. Proficiency in ArcGIS is required, while a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is preferred. A strong understanding of spatial data formats, projections, and geodatabase management is necessary. Experience in infrastructure mapping, especially in areas such as roads, utilities, water, and sewerage, is advantageous. Familiarity with GPS data integration and remote sensing basics is also beneficial. The ability to work with large datasets and maintain data integrity is a key requirement for this position.
