About The Opportunity
Healthcare — Private Hospital & Surgical Services sector. We deliver high-quality inpatient and surgical care across Rajasthan, operating modern, fully equipped operating theatres with a strong focus on minimally invasive and emergency general surgery. We are recruiting an experienced Consultant Laparoscopic Surgeon to lead and expand laparoscopic services at our Bhilwara, Rajasthan on-site facility.Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and perform elective and emergency laparoscopic and open general surgery procedures (e.g., laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, colectomy and other advanced MIS cases) with consistent, evidence-based outcomes.
- Manage pre-operative evaluation, intra-operative decision-making, and post-operative care—ensuring optimal patient safety, pain control, and complication management.
- Supervise, train and mentor surgical residents, junior doctors and OT staff on laparoscopic techniques, instrumentation and theatre protocols.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, surgical logs, outcome metrics and participate in morbidity & mortality reviews and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with anaesthesia, ICU and allied departments for perioperative planning, complex cases and on-call emergency coverage.
- Implement and uphold infection control, sterilisation standards and operating theatre protocols; support adoption of new MIS technologies and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MS or DNB in General Surgery.
- Postgraduate certification or fellowship in laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgery (or demonstrable advanced laparoscopic training).
- Minimum 3 years of independent consultant experience performing laparoscopic procedures in a hospital setting.
- Proven ability to perform advanced laparoscopic procedures and laparoscopic suturing.
- Experience in emergency surgical care and perioperative patient management.
- ACLS certification.
Preferred
- Fellowship in surgical oncology or additional advanced MIS fellowship.
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgery platforms.
- Prior experience leading surgical teams or managing OT services in a multi-specialty hospital.
