Job Description

Role Overview: As a Project Manager Offsites & Utilities, you will be responsible for managing all commercial and technical aspects related to the execution and oversight of an EPC/EPCM project within the chemical/petrochemical industry. Your role will involve ensuring successful planning, execution, and completion of offsite and utility projects while adhering to budgetary, safety, and quality standards. Additionally, your responsibilities may expand to overseeing plant utilities operations and maintenance post-commissioning. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage EPC/EPCM contracts to meet technical and commercial objectives from financial close to commercial operation. - Act as a high-level liaison with the Owners home office and EPCM contractor to ensure smooth execution and resolution of project-related issues. - Guide the engineering team in developing project designs aligned with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. - Serve as the primary liaison between the Owners organization, Licensors, EPCM agencies, local regulatory bodies, and internal project teams. - Ensure compliance with industry best practices, QA/QC obligations, and contractual requirements in all engineering designs. - Implement robust risk management strategies, address technical challenges, and integrate safety/environmental considerations into all designs. - Oversee EPC / O&M contract performance, procurement, approvals, and financial matters. - Lead commissioning activities, completion testing, and handover of facilities to the operations team. - Continuously track project budget, cost forecasts, and present regular project status reports to senior management. - Transition into the Head of OSBL role post-project completion, identifying process improvement opportunities and technological advancements. Qualification Required: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field. - 20+ years of experience in offsites & utilities projects of chemical/petrochemical plants. - Strong expertise in EPC/EPCM project execution, engineering design, and commercial management. - Prior experience in managing pre-commissioning, commissioning, and plant handover activities. - Technical skills include expertise in EPC/EPCM contract management, process engineering, utilities, HAZOP studies, equipment sizing, and project budgeting. - Behavioral competencies include leadership, communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and adaptability.
