Job Description

Role Overview: As the General and Operational Accounting Senior Specialist at our company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial reporting and analysis for our asset portfolio. Your responsibilities will include managing asset accounting, inter-company accounting, reconciliation, financial reporting, compliance, data management, audits, process improvement, collaboration with other departments, budgeting & variance analysis. Your expertise in asset management and financial reporting skills will be essential in providing actionable insights for strategic business decisions. Key Responsibilities: - Manage end-to-end accounting for fixed assets, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and impairment. - Oversee inter-company accounting for assets, ensuring proper booking and reconciliation. - Perform monthly reconciliation of fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger. - Assist in preparing asset-related financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. - Ensure compliance with internal policies, IFRS/GAAP, and other regulatory requirements. - Maintain the company's fixed asset register with complete and accurate information. - Provide support for internal and external audits related to fixed assets. - Identify and implement process improvements for fixed asset accounting procedures. - Collaborate with other departments for accurate recording of new assets and retirements. - Manage master data for budgeting and forecasting across the asset portfolio. - Conduct performance monitoring against budget and provide insightful variance explanations. Qualification Required: - Masters degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or relevant field. - Professional Accounting Qualification (CA/CMA or equivalent). - 8-10+ years of relevant experience. - Global experience working with teams across geographies preferred. - Strong attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills. - Knowledge of international entities, foreign currency, and inter-company transactions. - Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems like SAP and BPC. - Ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization. - Deadline-driven with a solution-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment. Additional Details: - Open to work in Flexible Shifts & Hybrid Work Environment. - Extended hours may be required to meet deadlines working with colleagues across different geographies and time zones. - Strong commitment to integrity, internal controls, and data privacy. - Must be a good team player, process-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
