General Manager

Job Summary

The General Manager oversees daily operations and leads the organizations strategic planning of small organization with 42 employees and looking for potential growth in Brunei.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple departments to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Aligning activities with company goals.
• Engaging with external stakeholders.
• Improving business processes.
• Driving growth, profitability, and safety.
• This role focuses on optimizing performance and supporting overall success.

Job Function, Task & responsibilities:

• Multi discipline engineering team interfaces and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
• High quality Engineering & Design Services in agreed budget & schedule.
• Under pressure plan, coordinate, motivate & direct staff.
• Manage commercial, scheduled, technical, quality, training, HSE issues.
• Cost Management & control.
• Manage the staff requirements including staff planning, recruitment, appraisal and training, HSE issues.
• Provide regular management report of progress, expenditure, budgeting, unbilled revenue, P & L report etc.
• Highlighting problem areas and proposed actions for improvements with recovery measures to stakeholders.
• Maximize efforts to make work share models technically and commercially successful.
• Keep clients fully advised of project status by means of reports, meetings, and routine communications.
• Coordinate & liaise with government departments and other contractors.
• Business development opportunities and work on business growth.
• Technical & commercial proposal to RFQ and tenders.
• Overall daily office operation, discipline & performance.

Qualification:

• BE/ BTech in any Engineering Discipline.
• Over 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas Engineering Design / EPC Environment including atleast 5 years in the senior management role.
• Strong knowledge of engineering consultancy operations, project management and client handling.
• Proven leadership, decision making & team management skills.
• Strong knowledge commercial & contractual agreement.
