General Manager - Quality

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the entire Quality function across the plant, ensuring compliance with industry and customer standards.
• Develop and implement robust quality systems, processes, and KPIs.
• Drive continual improvement initiatives in quality assurance, process control, and manufacturing reliability and actively work on reducing rejection.
• Ensure adherence to ISO/IATF standards and lead all audits (internal, external, and customer).
• Collaborate closely with Production, and R&D teams for process validation and product development.
• Develop and mentor the quality team to maintain high-performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Requirements:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in quality management in a gear manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Proven experience in managing ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other relevant quality certifications.
• Strong knowledge of gear measurement, metallurgy, heat treatment, and testing.
• Expertise in tools such as FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and 8D problem-solving.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
