Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager cum Factory Manager to oversee the setup and operations of our new garments manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, profitability, quality, service, and cost-effectiveness while leading a team to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up new units, create factory layouts, select machines, and plan production lines
  • Ensure profitability and oversee factory operations for production efficiency, quality, and cost control
  • Manage factory assets, people, and machinery
  • Coordinate with various departments to achieve organizational goals
  • Ensure consistent presentation of products and services
  • Deliver goods on time with expected quality to buyers.
  • Establish training programs for continuous personnel development
  • Foster clear communication and effective working relationships
  • Lead and manage teams with strong leadership skills
  • Minimize OT costs.
  • Structure SOPs for sampling, approvals, production, and quality management
  • Plan capacity utilization with orders in hand
  • Create delivery plans with merchandising and PPC
  • Plan manpower deployment and efficiency
  • Cost enquiries with OB, SMV, and SAM (monitor allotted vs actual utilised minutes)
  • Manage TnA plan and ensure on-time delivery of approvals and orders
  • Ensure quality management and raw material utilization efficiency (monitor OCR)
  • Control rejection and optimize stocks and inventory
  • Monitor utilities usage and design MIS reports
  • Manage purchase, maintenance, and machinery upgradation
  • Ensure compliance management and plan new projects
  • Hire and deploy required personnel
  • Foster harmonious people relationships at all levels

Requirements:

  • Experience in setting up new units, factory layouts, machine selection, and line planning
  • Proven track record of managing factory operations, profitability, and teams
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in managing production for large scale garment factories
  • Experience in preparation of IE reports.
  • Experience in preparation of Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets etc.,
